Scholarship Information

QUALIFICATIONS:

• NWJCWA provides college scholarships to former wrestlers who participated in NWJCWA for at least two seasons.

• To qualify, candidates must have completed one year of college and a member of that college’s wrestling team. Candidates must be at least in their second year of college wrestling.

• Each year a Scholarship Chairman is appointed from among the NWJCWA team managers. Their responsibilities are to verifying each candidate’s eligibility.

• Names for the scholarship are to be submitted to NWJCWA before the December meeting of each year. These names are submitted and nominated by the team managers.

• Depending upon the number of qualified candidates, each recipient may receive up to $500.00 per year. NWJCWA sets aside $2,000.00 each year to be split among the qualified candidates. If there are more then 4 qualified nominees, the $2000 will be divided equally among them.

Nominations are open for recipients of our annual Scholarship. Kent Dorsey of West HIlls Wrestling has nominated Sean Murphy, 2nd year wrester at PSU. If you have a wrestler to nominate, please be prepared at our next meeting.
